CleanHub x CHPO case

Bluemadegreen was founded in 2021 by fashion designer Ratna Prabha Rajkumar, with a focus on reusing textile waste through upcycling. The business began with denim but today includes several types of fabrics that are transformed into bags, accessories, and home décor items. The company, based in Kanhangad in Kerala, India, is run by four women along with part-time workers. Each month, around 200 kilos of textile waste are processed through washing, sorting, and reuse, with an almost zero-waste production process. The goal is to reduce waste, promote sustainable fashion, and create job opportunities for women. Together with them, CHPO have been able to create sunglasses cases, with the proceeds supporting CleanHub’s work.
